Corinne Gerber - Certified Cranial-Sacral Therapist, RDH (CH)
Hakomi  is a Hopi Indian word and  translates as  "Who Are You"
The emphasis is on What Is Being Done, Thought and Felt at The Moment   rather than
What Was,            Might Be,               Could Be,        or         Should Be.

Hakomi Therapy was founded by Ron Kurtz a Psychotherapist and author of the book (Body-Centered Psychotherapy) The Hakomi Method, LifeRhythm in the 1970. He was greatly influenced by the techniques of Body-Centred Therapies such as (Bioenergetics, Gestalt, Feldenkreis and Structural Integration).
As a gifted and sensitive Body-Centered Psychologist he recognized that, a way of healing is not only the essential partnership between body and mind but also between therapist and client.

Let go of what is past. Let go of what is not yet. Observe deeply what is happening in the present moment, but do not become attached to it Siddhartha Gotama, Theranamo Sutta

As an Advanced Cranio-Sacral Therapist Corinne uses the Hakomi Therapy approach to encourage the release of physical  and emotional memories to enhance the therapeutic benefits of Cranio-Sacral Therapy. If needed, Corinne then further combines the gentle Manual Therapy of Visceral Manipulation, which relates to the movement of the organs within the body to further improve mobility within the organ system itself. Once the balance within the body and mind has been established and the Qi flows freely the benefits are many and have been shown to be effective for Adults, Children and Infants.
